Remember the old Heidelberg Hotel? In August 2006, the hotel reopened after undergoing a $70 million renovation to its former state of grandeur and now known as the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. It now stands proud as when it was originally constructed in 1927, and called home by Huey P. Long. This historic location at 201 Lafayette Street in picturesque downtown Baton Rouge is adjacent to the Shaw Performing Arts Center and Baton Rouge River Center, less than five minutes from the state capitol and only three miles from Louisiana State University (LSU).
