Geismar singer Al Boogie, who recently competed on Season 24 of NBC's "The Voice," will perform at a Saturday fundraiser supporting Hogs for the Cause.
Hogs for the Cause, a 501(c)(3) organization, has given out more than $2.1 million in grants to families of children battling brain cancer and $7.3 million to hospital programs and charities since 2009, according to its website.
The event starts at 6 p.m. at Pelican to Mars, 2678 Government St. Also providing entertainment will be DJ Bird. A barbecue meal will be served.
A $10 donation at the door is suggested.
First-time "The Voice" judge Reba McIntire chose second-time auditioner Boogie, 38, for her team in an episode of the competition series airing on Oct. 9.
