Ages 10 & Up: This is a group class open to beginners of all ages! Description: Painting is more than just a hobby. Studies have shown that painting relieves stress, expands creative growth, improves memory, and even enhances problem-solving and motor skills. How can one activity provide all of these benefits? Artistic endeavors provide an emotional release to the stress we all encounter each day. It also gives more analytical thinkers an opportunity to exercise their creative side and sharpens the mind through concept visualization. Finally, painting develops advanced hand-eye-coordination as artists learn to bring what they see in their minds to life. In this class, we focus on acrylics and cover the fundamentals of brush strokes, colors, composition, edges, and technique. At the end of the class, you will have a gorgeous piece that displays your own completed artwork. We will walk you step by step in a classroom setting.
